Mark the one’s you’ve tried in bold, the ones you would like to try but haven’t in italics and cross out the ones you don’t even want to try.
(I’m going to mush it all into a comma-delineated list because, well, I don’t like numbered lists unless they have a very good excuse for their existence.)

Fresh fish, Lobster, Steak, Thai food, Chinese food, Ice cream, Pizza, Crab, Curry, Prawns, Moreton Bay Bugs, Clam chowder, Barbecue, Pancakes, Pasta, Mussels, Cheesecake, Lamb, Cream tea, Alligator, Oysters, Kangaroo, Chocolate, Sandwiches, Greek food, Burgers, Mexican food, Squid, American diner breakfast, Salmon, Venison, Guinea pig, Shark, Sushi, Paella, Barramundi, Reindeer (if you call caribou “reindeer”), Kebab, Scallops, Australian meat pie, Mango, Durian fruit, Octopus, Ribs, Roast beef, Tapas, Jerk chicken, Haggis, Caviar, Cornish pasty.

So that leaves... Moreton Bay bugs, kangaroo, guinea pig, paella, barramundi, Australian meat pie, durian, haggis, caviar, and cornish pasty.

There’s a place on Kingsway that sells New Zealand–style meat pies, so I might come close to trying the Australian variety. Durian I’d like to try someday, but I’m wary of the reliable reports of it having an odour of rotten meat when opened even though it’s supposedly tasty and not rotten-meat tasting. So, it can wait.

Can you tell I’m adventurous in my eating habits? I notice they don’t have tripe or dog or other more objectionable things in the list, though...

i demand to know why 'pickled moose tongue' isn't on the list.

Because Pickled M. Tongue was being a wanker and didn't catch the meme train before it left the station?

(What, pray tell, does pickled moose tongue taste like?)

it is EXTREMELY chewy, cold, and underneath the overwhelming taste of the onions it's pickled with, it's gamy and bitter. the flavour lingers on the back of the tongue, rank like marsh gas. i kept trying to scrape my tongue off enough to get the taste to die, and despite all my efforts, could still taste it for about 20 minutes.

one of the worst things i've ever tasted, honestly. and the texture--it's PEBBLY--oh god, so horrible.

if anyone offers you this, say no unless you like pain.

(the creepy thing? my stepfather really likes it.)

For that, you should add it to the meme if you post it in your journal. If anything needs sympathy and validation, it's an experience like that...

Oog. Trying not to imagine that texture too vividly...

Hmm, I only have use for bold and not bold!

Ah, you're all outdoing me. Well, that'll teach me to brag. :-)

I decided to take that as a compliment ;)

I notice they don’t have tripe or dog or other more objectionable things in the list, though...

Did you ever eat dog?

No, and I think I'd pass if given the chance. I might try guinea pig (because they're dumb and evil), but dogs are too close to human intelligence to make food out of.

I'd avoided trying octopus for the same reason for ages, until they got my order wrong at a sushi place and it appeared on my plate. Since I hate letting food go to waste, I tried it and wasn't much impressed. So, not only do I have a good reason to avoid eating octopus, but I know it's not worth it, either.

My ex likes tripe. Since it shows up around here mostly in southeast asian cooking, thinking about tripe reminded me that dog is another objectionable food. Thus it's inclusion in the commentary.

Two questions: Why are guinea pigs evil? And what is "tripe"? Even the German translation and Google pictures didn't help.

Tripe is some kind of beef gut, but I'm not sure which part. Ah, from http://www.soupsong.com/ftripe.html: "Tripe is the muscular lining of beef stomach". So yeah, I'm not likely to try it any time soon.

Guinea pigs being evil is an obscure tongue-in-cheek joke from Jackie's Fridge. However, they are still dumb as a bag of rocks.

Ew. I know what it is now. It is used in petfood a lot here. And I'll leave it there.

Guinea pigs are dumb, yep. I'll stick to cats (keeping them, not eating them).

Ah, so that's what it is. I knew it was a fish of some kind but didn't recognise the name. I know I've seen sea bass on the menu before, but I don't think I've ever ordered it.
