Challenging meme
twitch sigil
I let most memes pass me by. Most aren't very interesting, or are trying too hard to be memes. This one would usually fall by the wayside for trying to hard (the viral clause), but there is an element of sincerity this meme evokes that comes from unflinchingly taking its challenge. Does that make sense?

Anyway, the meme:

1. I'll respond with something random about you.
2. I'll challenge you to try something new.
3. I'll pick something environmental, such as a colour, scent or sound that I associate with you.
4. I'll tell you something I like about you.
5. I'll tell you my first/clearest memory of you.
6. I'll tell you what (choose category - animal, colour, element, celebrity) that you remind me of.
7. I'll ask you something I've always wanted to ask you.
8. If I do this for you, you must post this in your journal.

(Via hundun.)

In other news, classes are done and I have two essays due for Tuesday. Then I have an exam on Thursday and another a week later. Almost clear! Then a nice break, a honeymoon in the Okanagan, and then back to classes for summer.

Honeymoon in the Okanagan? If you feel like dropping by to visit, do so. Nice restaurant on the vinyard too.

You're right, we are! It somehow didn't click that when we've been talking about Kelowna in a few weeks and you've been talking about Kelowna in a few weeks, that's the same time and place.

We will be checking out a bunch of vineyards. Which one will you be at?

Summerhill :) The one with the pyramid

The pyramid people! I guess they would be the most likely place to value permaculture values among all of them. We were planning on visiting there just to see the place with our own eyes.

Stephen is quite a character, though I've only met him once so far. The permaculture in this case is an extension of the current organic practice.

Awesome! We met some of those delightful nutters at a wine festival once. I'm not sure I can rightly attribute it to "pyramid energy", but they do make some very good wine and hold a lot of interesting ideas. I bet you'll have a blast.

I'd love to visit - we were going to hit that winery anyway! What will your schedule be like?

(just to clarify because I think that came out wrong - I'd be totally up for visiting even if we weren't already planning on going to Summerhill :)

Well, I don't know what my schedule will be, but it's likely to be relatively flexible. I'll have my cell, same number, and will at least check messages morning and evening.

There's likely space for you to stay, too, if you guys want a cheap weekend vacation sometime. I'll know more when I've been up there for a bit, of course.
